Mike Cav learned the messy biz of making stuff at San Francisco's fabled Colossal Pictures with its explosive combination of visual effects, cel animation, stop-motion and live action. Mike has since edited feature films, commercials, and visual effects for ILM, Apple, Wild Brain, and The Orphanage. Mike spent 8 exciting years at Tippett Studio working closely with Phil Tippett on the insane stop-motion dream-logic feature film Mad God.
Thru his own Diatribe Productions Mike Cav has directed music videos, documentaries, and three award-winning dramatic short films.
Mike Cav has also taught many filmmaking workshops to youth and adults throughout the Bay Area in partnership with the SF Int'l Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, and the Napa/Sonoma Film and Music Institute.
