Behind the Scenes of how we at Tippett Studio researched, reconstructed, reanimated and resurrected the original 1977 Star Wars chess set puppets for a few shots in 2015's The Force Awakens. As Phil says, "What took two guys two weeks in 1977, took 12 people 12 months 35 years later..." A total honor and a total blast to work on.
Worked with Phil Tippett (original Dinosaur Supervisor on Jurassic Park) to block out raptor behavior and animation. So fun to fill this previz out with audio and help it drop right into early edits of the film...
